HR Generalist

Location: Las Vegas, NV
Schedule: Hybrid (3 days onsite / 2 days remote)

We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist to support a multi-state workforce in a fast-paced environment. This role will focus heavily on employee relations, labor law compliance, leave administration, benefits, policy interpretation, and HR risk management. The ideal candidate is a hands-on HR professional who is confident navigating complex employee issues and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary HR resource for employees and managers regarding workplace issues, policy interpretation, and employee concerns.
  • Manage employee relations matters, including investigations, corrective actions, conflict resolution, and performance-related issues.
  • Provide guidance on federal, state, and local labor laws, ensuring compliance across multiple states.
  • Administer and track FMLA, ADA accommodations, and other leave programs.
  • Support unemployment claims, workers' compensation cases, and related documentation.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, and open enrollment support.
  • Maintain and update employee handbooks, policies, procedures, and HR documentation.
  • Conduct internal investigations and recommend appropriate resolutions.
  • Assist leadership with performance management, employee retention, and workplace culture initiatives.
  • Ensure accurate maintenance of employee records and HRIS data.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and recommend updates to company policies and practices.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of recent HR Generalist experience required.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws, including FMLA, ADA, FLSA, EEOC, and wage and hour regulations.
  • Experience supporting a multi-state employee population.
  • Proven employee relations experience, including workplace investigations and conflict resolution.
  • Benefits administration experience required.
  • Experience managing leave programs, workers' compensation, and unemployment claims.
  • Strong understanding of HR compliance, policy development, and risk mitigation.
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • PHR, SHRM-CP, or similar certification is a plus.
